World's Most Popular Mobile Operating Systems Revealed

Alibaba's mobile operating system YunOS is now the third most popular mobile operating system in the world. It comes behind Android and iOS, which take first and second place respectively. YunOS had around 40 million users at the end of last year, and aims to have 100 million users by the end of this year. It hopes to become the second most popular mobile operating system in its home country of China by that time, with a target penetration rate of 20% to 25%. The current global smartphone penetration rate is 56%, according to research by ZenithOptimedia.
