People in Asia Pacific and Latin America are more at ease with mobile trasactions
A study from GFK has found that consumers in the US and Europe aren’t overly excited about increasing the amount of mobile transactions they make. The study looked at the behaviours of 20,000 internet users over the age of 18 and found that users in the US and Europe fell well behind all other regions. Whilst around 50% of those in the Asia-Pacific region, and 65% of those in Latin America said they looked forward to being able to make more transactions on mobile, that number fell dramatically to around 27% in both the US and Europe. The reason behind this was put down to security fears, something which 55% of Americans said they worried about when using mobile payments.
